Each year we’ve had a growing number of students choose to do their work experience and student placements with us. This is an exciting opportunity for students to gain experience in supporting some of the most disadvantaged people in Newcastle. They gain experience in a range of programs including:

R U OK Wellbeing Phone Calls
Individual Mentoring
This provides students with valuable knowledge and experience in interpersonal communication, trauma informed care, therapeutic conversations, providing emotional support, showing empathy and a non-judgemental attitude.
As well as practical skills and hands on experience in client-centred goal setting and support plans, providing practical food relief, mandatory reporting, referrals, liaising with community services and program planning.
